Spirituality and Mysticism systematically explores the biblical origins and patristic development of a distinct Christian spirituality, from the earliest days of the church, through the middle ages and into modernity. Wiseman concludes with reflections on how the new experience of being a world Christian body has brought the richness of African, Asian, and Latin American experiences to contemporary Christian spirituality.
