He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia University and a Master of Divinity degree from the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley. He has taught literature and theology at Fordham University and the University of San Francisco. A native of Los Angeles, he now lives in Hell’s Kitchen in Manhattan.
